Leap, as leftover apples, is a next-gen leather alternative born from the idea of Making Waste Beautiful. We created Leap as a testament to what can be achieved when we reevaluate the value of unwanted waste and use it to create a material that is not only functional but also beautiful....
As of today, Leap has an 89% biobased composition. Partly made from leftover European apple waste & transformed into a versatile leather
alternative with premium performance.
Leap is available in 1.5m wide rolls, textured and colored in many variations. Its premium character suits multiple industries, ranging from small leather goods to furniture and home decor, and will soon be ready for automotive interiors.
Besides its aesthetic appeal and premium performance, Leap is highly resistant to water.
A little bit more about the structure of Leap:
The core of Leap is made from the leftover apple waste blend. Enhanced with a Tencel™ textile backing and coated with a water-based, partially bio-based PU coating layer to support the durability. Everything inside Leap is there for a reason, and we’re not holding anything back. We stay authentic to our raw material by refusing to add anything that’s not necessary, saying no to animal products or toxic chemicals.
