The side table aims to provide a use for the ‘waste’ material left over from the forestry management process.
Ash is currently being felled due to the ever spreading disease called Ash Dieback.
These are often small dimension trees at roughly 18cm in diameter on average. These logs currently have no use for firewood sales, blanking etc due to their size and are left to decay.
This encouraged me to look further at how they could be utilized and with as little processing as possible.
